47 Killed in Nigerian Bombing

In the article http://www.cnn.com/2014/11/10/world/africa/nigeria-bombing/  published by  Aminu Abubakar on November 10 47 people were killed in a bombing outside of a Nigerian school. The explosion went off a 7:50 am right before school when the students sit outside waiting for the daily speech. The bomber was dressed up as a student so he blended in causing 47 deaths and 79 wounded innocent people. It is not for sure yet who put this man to set off a very deadly explosion that was intending to harm many but there is a suspect that may have been behind this awful tragedy. The suspect is Boko Haram, he was also involved in another attack taken place last year causing 42 students dead. Police are still trying get to the bottom of this awful event,

ANALYSIS:
I was in shock and disgusted by this awful act. I do not get what good comes out of killing many innocent people its awful and imagine the parents and families who have just lost one of their loved ones. Their lives have changed forever because of some idiots actions of meaning to harm people. It is sick and so sad how I hear stories for my grandmother saying she used to leave windows and doors open when she was little at night and throughout the day. Now you can't do that we have alarms and locks. My mother has also apologized to me saying “im sorry i have brought you into such a corrupt world”. This is heartbreaking and I'm praying for these poor families and wish the best of luck to their new lives and trying to go on with business without the person lost.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

  1. How would you react if you were at the school at this time seeing people all around you die?
  2. If one of your family members was killed by this explosion how would you and your family try and live life as best you can?
  3. Why do you this Haram or who ever this was killed these innocent students and teachers?

  1. I would probably drop everything I was carrying and run away, but if everyone around me was dying I would expect myself to die too.

  2. I would be so scared I would not even want to look, other than a quick look. It would very gross to see all the blood and bodies all over the place.

  3. This is extremely morbid and I don't like to think that way. But if this where to happen to me I would need a lot of therapy. What this individual had to go through is definitely something she will never forget.

  4. I think this is such a horrible thing to do. I hope that the man who does this gets caught. If I were there I don't know what I would do. It's such a scary thing that happened to so many innocent students.

  5. I feel absolutely terrible for the families of the victims and everyone that was involved in the attack. People should not have to experience this type of harm. I think the school's security system should be somewhat improved, due to the fact the bomber was dressed as a student and was let into the building.
