In the article, Gecko Tech: Sticky Invention Lets People Scale Walls, scientists have created a new technology that allows a vertical movement up a surface perpendicular to the ground. This Spider-Man like invention was inspired by a gecko’s feet. Gecko’s feet have thousands of microscopic suction cups on their feet allowing them to climb up walls and even climb on the ceiling. This invention is extraordinary it could very well be the beginning of a golden age of inventing.
This article interests me because it makes you realize just how advanced we really are. With inventions like this, it makes me wonder what will be created next. I love technology and there are so many things that we can do that I wouldn’t even think possible. Although as I read the article I questioned its usefulness but it could inspire many new inventions. Like it could be used to

ReplyDelete'm a big fan of the Harry Potter series and I just think that something like that would be helpful to many different governments and basically just fun overall for people. I don't think this invention would be sold for commercial use because it puts people in danger of falling from great heights and killing themselves.
I think this is an awesome invention! But I would love to see a teleportation device of some sort. In... some foreign country that I can't remember the name of, they are able to teleport small objects like apples and bananas a few feet away. I don't think that the Gecko Tech will be sold for commercial use until it is proven to be 100% safe. I don't think it is possible to know what the next invention could be because there are so many things that people are making and we don't even know about it.
ReplyDeleteI dont think this product should be sold yet. I think this because the product may be unsafe and will harm people and even kill them. Once they do a couple of tests and get the product approved then I think they should start to sell it. I think Gecko is a great invention.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I think that this new invention is really interesting. The technology today is becoming more advanced. Another invention I would like to see would probably be something inspired by this. Just another thing that makes our lives more convenient. I think that this invention will be sold for commercial usage. It could be sold to people involved in architecture or people such as special forces. I am not sure about what the next invention will be or let us do. Although, it could be inspired by this invention.
