About to loose it?

Have you ever freaked out because you were overworked? You may have had a panic attack. This video comes from ABC 7 news. ABC 7 news is a new channel. This is a reliable source because everyday people get their information like weather and such from this show.

Panic attacks are a very serious thing. They can come upon whenever you are stressed or worried about something. You could be right in the middle of something and have one, just like how this new broadcaster did. "I realized I was helpless," this shows that when you have a panic attack it takes control of your body and it is hard to come back after having one. It is hard to come back after having one especially if it occurred in public because then you may be embarrassed. Furthermore if you have panic attacks often you should get professional help. One major factor that can cause a panic attack is the little voice in your head that says you aren't good enough, your going to fail, and many other things. This voice can be self defeating causing you to panic or result in the gaining of anxiety. In addition to having a panic attack you may instead panic eat or have angry outbursts like the people in the video did.

I can personally say that Hinsdale Central is a very stressful school. Daily I come home with so much homework to do before I have to go to golf or somewhere else and then I need to go to bed early. After doing all of this it leaves me with not a lot of free time. This is a very hard thing to accomplish sometimes, resulting in me going to bed late and not getting enough sleep and continuing that for the rest of the week. When I don't get much sleep and am trying to study for a test that I am worried about I start panicking and worrying that I am going to fail the test. Consequently I freak out an and try to calm myself down by going to bed without studying enough. Since central is a extremely competitive school I would not be surprised if m any other students panic about getting their homework done, getting the A, and or a test/quiz. In conclusion panic attacks are something that can be triggered by stress and or being worried that can be a serious thing.

FUTURE RESEARCH: About how many students suffer from anxiety? What can students do to reduce stress?
