Research question connected to overall essential question: Why is it that some cities are highly developed while some aren't even close, yet both still receive the same amount of popularity?

The main reason why I'm interested in this topic is because I'm very interested in traveling, and would like to know more about the different kinds of cities in the world and what makes each and every one of them special. Large cities are full of life, diversity, and various kinds of opportunities for everyone, while small cities may be full of ancient history. There really isn't a "best" city in the world today, but people enjoy visiting cities that have something no other city has in the world, such as Hollywood which is close to Los Angeles. New York may have a large population, but the largest city is Tokyo, yet Tokyo may not be more diverse than New York. Cities are amazing, and it would be a pleasure to travel the world and visit all the famous cities of different countries.
