Little League cheaters

Everyone knows how pro players for any sport cheat, but has it gotten so bad to the point where minor league 12 year olds have to cheat for the big win?

According to ABC News, a Chicago minor league baseball team named Jackie Robinson West All-Stars was stripped of a national baseball title for being accused of cheating by drafting players around the area. The team made a so called "super team" because they went undefeated in every tournament all the way to the national victory.

The reason the team drafting was illegal is because the team must be made up of kids within a certain area in Chicago and most of the players were not drafted from there. Also since the team is made up of all black children, they are accusing the league of racism and not cheating. the team had 7 trophies taken away from them and that includes regional, sectional, state, and national championships and more.

ANALYSIS:
I think the league officials are not being fair. The parents should be penalized instead of the kids because its not the kids fault that they were accepted on the team, they were just playing their hardest. I also believe that the runner up team should be granted a first place trophy, but allow the Jackie Robinson west team to keep theirs as well.
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS/FUTURE RESEARCH:
1) Do you think this is the fault of bad role models in the pro leagues?
2) Will kids even younger start cheating?
3) How should we fix these cheating problems?
