Why Did I Buy This?

Group's overall essential question (e.g. How are people’s beliefs shaped?): How are people’s behaviors and beliefs affected by culture, social media, and governmental related topics.

My research question connected to essential question (How do movies and media’s portrayal of females after their views of themselves in society?): How do small businesses and supermarkets use psychology to get you to buy more than you need.

Brief paragraph on why you’re interested in this topic: I have always been interested in psychology and how the mind works. Without a basic knowledge of psychology, we would be at a loss to answer several different behavior styles and social situation analysis questions. I am looking forward to being able to study psychology and perhaps even make a career out of it. I have found the human brain to be extremely interesting and definitely worth researching.
