Consistently Considering the Consequences

While almost everyone has attempted to set fitness or diet goals, many people have misconceptions and misunderstandings as to how to accomplish their goals.

In this post I will share information from Breaking Muscle which is a reliable site because of its knowledgeable authors, videos, and articles that assist people in achieving their fitness goals. I will specifically discuss, "POST WORKOUT NUTRITION: CARBS ONLY? OR CARBS + PROTEIN?"

Why do new health goals become less appealing so quickly?

Many of us are often inspired by friends, family, social media, and society. Whether we’re inspired to travel, try new foods, experiment with new crafts, pick up a new hobby, go on a diet, or lose weight, the idea of following that inspiration right away is appealing. Although, instead of trying to act immediately and overwhelmingly solve our entire problem at once, we should take small steps and begin new routines. As "Why Is It So Hard To Stick To Good Habits?" by James Clear,  entrepreneur, weightlifter, and travel photographer in 20+ countries, states, If your inspiration or new personal goal is to go on a diet, then skipping meals or quickly downsizing our food intake is going to make staying with your diet tough. Instead, we can progressively begin working more beneficial foods into our daily diets.

How can I choose what diet is right for me?
Many people think of “dieting” or “going on a diet” as a very difficult task. It is, although many perceive dieting incorrectly. Instead of picturing hunger, only eating vegetables, and being unsatisfied, picture eating normally with smaller portions and better choices. Instead of “dieting”, think “a healthy diet”. If small adjustments to your current diet are made, you will be more likely to stick with it.

What are some tips as to staying healthy?

There are so many ways one can remain healthy. First, know your motivation! If you have something in mind that you’re working towards, chances are you’ll experience better outcomes. Don’t be drastic with your goals and fitness plans. Dream big, but start small. As the article stated, when you eat or exercise, do so with friends, family, or someone to encourage you and keep you on the right track, which I complete;y agree with.
