Is Geography Destiny?

Geographic Themes of Ebola
The geographic themes of Movement and Interaction prove that geography is destiny in West Africa because with movement people must move from one place to another to discover new things and to share new things. Interaction is also important because interacting with the people and world around you is crucial for getting information and resources from other countries and regions.
Interactive with Ebola
Without interaction we would basically not have anything of the technology we have today, education, government, all will not survive in a world where interaction is blank. According to Africa News Service, America is sending 50 disease detectives to places around West Africa infected with the Ebola plague so they can possibly learn more about the disease and how they can stop it. Without interaction we would not have these resources from other regions / countries, getting items from other places is important to life. Africa News Service states that these 50 disease detectives are crucial into learning more about this deadly virus. This proves that interaction is really important, for giving the people in need of help, more news and helpful ways of avoiding the deadly disease. Many officials are visiting other countries to see how they will react to the disease, so they can take notes and resources to slow down Ebola and reassure the public that they are not in much danger. Of course interaction could mean transmitting the disease to other people, but for the most part, it’s nice to see that other people are interacting with others in a more helpful, less deadly, way. The more we share and interact with the people and citizens of the affected regions the more we have a better understanding of how to defeat or cripple the disease or other troubles in the world. Interaction is destiny because without it we would never be able to affect our world in a good or even bad way, we need it to help the people around you, because civilization survives the best with everyone working together.
Movement with Ebola
The movement theme of geography shows that wherever you are born or raised it is crucial into how you shape out into a person or how your life goes. According to James Butty, Liberia’s Defense Minister visited America to learn more about how we would deal with the virus and generally just raise more awareness. This states that without movement, this information would probably never get to the government and people of Liberia. In movement we must send info from one to another to truly advance as society. Emeka Anuforo has stated that Linda Thomas Greenfield, Secretary Assistant for African Affairs, has visited the health minister of Abuja, Nigeria, to make share more information about why they cannot share their new trial vaccine for Ebola, simply because they have to do certain tests and experiments. This also really works with sending the fifty disease detectives to places in West Africa to help quarantine the areas. Without movement they would never retrieve this thorough information and would probably think more bad from us for thinking we would not have given them a cure. This proves that movement is really destiny because you can’t control where you’re born, or raised. We need movement to share information and technology from one place to another.

ReplyDeleteI agree that sharing knowledge and interactions will help, and this is exactly what the meeting of the United Nation was for. The meeting took place yesterday day, and they all agreed on one solution, but what do you think the solution should be.
