Is geography destiny or could people make their own destiny?

Geography is not destiny because the themes of  Movement and Place show that in Western Africa Ebola is spreading in so many countries that weren't expecting this disease. People could change their own destiny.

According to the article  “ Obama - International Response Needed for Ebola Outbreak.” president Barack Obama says “If we don't make that effort now, and this spreads not just through Africa but other parts of the world, there's the prospect then that the virus mutates, it becomes more easily transmittable” This means that if together, the world doesn't make an effort to stop Ebola, it will spread around the world which will kill many people.  This comes under one part of geography which is Movement because this disease is moving/spreading in different parts of Western Africa. Therefore this article proves that geography is not destiny because the people who live in west Africa, did not know that Ebola is going to strike their regions.

According to this article “Coca-Cola Battles Ebola - Invests Initial U.S.$13,500” which shows that the coca-cola bottle company in Liberia is helping to stop Ebola to go to other countries by giving them medical assistance, Water etc. They care about their environment and where they live thats why they want to keep their environment clean and disease free. Liberia was a good place to live before the spread of Ebola. “ the Liberia Coca-Cola Bottling Company (LCCBC)  has made an initial huge contribution” this also shows that the coca cola bottle company has made a huge contribution in stop the spread of Ebola.
In conclusion, these articles show that geography is not destiny because people can change their own destiny.
