The geographic themes of Region and Movement prove that geography is destiny in West African countries because when you live in regions that suffer from poverty, your lifespan may be less than others from different regions, and unless you can get help from other people, your destiny will still be the same in the end.

According to the African News Service, movement can also prove that geography is destiny because the virus was spread slower and the people were cured faster only when the doctors and assistants had brought medical goods and water to patients in the hospitals and health centers. It was also mentioned that some of the West African countries were informed by countries from different “regions’ that they needed to respond to the Ebola outbreak faster so that less people would die from the killer disease. Later on, more goods were shipped to Africa so that the doctors and nurses there could cure the disease faster than just by isolating the patients.
I agree mostly with what you are saying in your paragraph. I liked how you talked about how geography can determine what can happen to you in your life and how you live. It made me think about how lucky we are to be born in America. What do you think other countries would do if the Ebola starts to spread to other countries?
ReplyDeleteI hope that the other countries can not only provide Africa with their basic needs, but they can also teach students more about Ebola and how to prevent it from spreading.
