Proof that Geography Is Destiny!

Location Is Destiny

The geographical themes Location and Place proves that geography is destiny in West Africa because people can’t control the Location they are born, and also people can’t control if they if by chance they are at a Place where there is a disease spreading around that they didn’t know about.

People cannot control where they are born. What if they were born in a Location where there was a war going on and they were killed within days of being born? They would not be able to protect themselves at that age. The New York Times “Can statins help treat ebola?” stated about a deadly disease that is spreading in West Africa. If a person was giving birth to in this area and they had a person around them with the disease they wouldn’t be able to avoid getting the disease. This proves that Location is destiny.

The Place someone is, also support the idea of Geography is destiny. An example of this is that people in West Africa have a higher chance of getting ebola then most people in other places. And this is destiny because if they got it they have a high chance of even dying and that might have been there destiny even though it would be a very sad one. Geography makes your destiny because of mainly Location and Place.

  1. I agree that place and location is a factor on where your born and how your is. I also agree that place affects if you get Ebola or not. I disagree that location is destiny because destiny is not where you are born. It's where you end up in life. Maybe you we're born in west Africa and end up in Europe or America.

  2. Its unfortunate that Ebola effects people so greatly. Based on where you live, your location, it depends on if you catch the disease or not! If you are in Africa the risk of getting Ebola is much, much higher that the U.S or other places other than Africa.
