Big League Cheater

Why do Big League players decide to cheat so much when they are already at the top?

http://bleacherreport.com/

Sammy Sosa a retired MLB player, who played for the Chicago Cubs was accused and caught for cheating, based off www.bleacherreport.com. Sosa is well known for his impressive amount of homeruns yearly and his large amount of at bats. Sosa was finally accused of corking his bat and illegal drug use. So, he was randomly tested and failed the drug test and was also caught for an illegal bat. Sosa was suspended for eight games on June 3, 2003.

Analysis: Personally I think that Sosa made a horrible decision because he was already averaged so he could have just retired and not have lost respect just like he did. In this case Sosa should have just quit instead of trying to be a fake player.

Questions:
1) Why do you think he cheated?
2) What would you have done in Sammy Sosa's place?
3) Should Sammy Sosa have retired?
