The Queen's Theatre

Public execution was a popular form of entertainment during the time of Elizabethan Theatre. According to two articles titled Elizabethan Theatre and William Shakespeare, Christopher Marlowe, Robert Greene, John Lyly, and Thomas Lodge were popular playwrights during the era, who ran professional and ammature theatre programs that would travel throughout england. Despite being popular, the theatre attracted some criticism due to questionable actors and crude humor, heresy, politics and profanity. These critics were primarily Puritans sp the Queen outlawed theatre within the city, but this was never enforced well. Despite that, theatre still attracted over 3,000 people from various social classes. Performances were often in the afternoon lasting between 2 and 3 hours at a time. But William Shakespeare really help theatre flourish.

William Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway and had two daughters. Despite his popularity it is unclear what happened to him between 1585 and 1592. In 1594 he joined Lord Chamberlain’s company and Chamberlains Men 5 years later. He used the money he made from the company to buy the Globe and it became the most famous theatre of the Elizabethan era. He started by writing. Many years after he finished his Sonnets of Shakespeare in 1601, containing 154 sonnets, in 1609. Some of his 30 plus plays we wrote are Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth, Twelfth night, and many other titles. Shakespeare died in 1612, but is still one of the wides read authors of all time.

It is surprising that anyone would have liked the theatre during this time period because it did not seem to be a proper or safe environment. It was even made illegal by the queen and people still wanted to come see it. William SHakespeare in one of the world most renowned authors yet very little is known about his life. It is odd that researchers have not uncovered more of his personal life.

My sourses are reliable, because they end in org. meaning they are an organization, not just anyone who makes a website. Both had information that was beliveabe.
